Peiris wins globel shipping sector award
WIN: A lawyer attached to the Legal Aid Commission of Sri
Lanka, Nuwan Peiris won the esteemed ARMAC Award for Port Agency in the
Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) -Sri Lanka examination scoring
the highest marks in the world.
Whilst being the only Award winner from Sri Lanka this year he had
proved himself that Sri Lanka is rich with highly qualified
professionals in the shipping sector, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Legal
Aid Commission S. S. Wijeratne said.
Peiris has been invited to attend the Award Ceremony in London on
September 27 to receive his award which is to be presided by the
President of Baltic and International Maritime Council.
ICS is the only internationally recognised professional body
representing shipbrokers, managers and agents throughout the world. It
was established in 1911 in the UK, and received Her Majesty's Charter
and today excels as the premier shipping arm in the international
shipping. |
