OSC celebrates golden jubilee

COLOMBO: The Overseas School of Colombo (OSC) marks 50 years in the international education field tomorrow. The school authorities past pupils have lined up a series of events to celebrate the event.

The OSC was founded as a ‘not-for-profit’ institution with the intention of offering education to the highest standards. As a result, OSC is today synonymous with truly world-class education and committed to the International Baccalaureate Philosophy. The school now has 440 students from 46 countries and teachers from around the globe.

To commemorate this special occasion, OSC has lined up 9 events for both past and present students, parents and well-wishers and it is their wish that as many visitors as possible would take the time to visit the school to take a trips down memory lane and share their nostalgic moments and experiences with the present community. Famillies and friends are requested to join in the celebrations and usher in ‘50 years of unity in diversity’ said a OSC spokesperson.

Regular updates on events and activities will be posted on OSC’s website: www.osc.lk. On May 26, an e-form for contacts was posted on the school’s website to allow OSC alumni and past community to sign in. The OSC hopes to build a network and an Interactive Alumni Club to reach out to everyone around the world. All those interested are requested to contact Paulenne at email: [email protected]
