Tritel slashes call charges

TARIFF REDUCTION:Tritel Service (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka's biggest payphone operator has offered a massive reduction on out going call charges with effect from September, 20 celebrating 9 years in service along with an estimated four million regular customers per month.

Tritel Services (Pvt) Ltd Chief Executive Officer Darryll Sinnappa speaking about the tariff reduction said "The backbone of our telco entity is none other than our customers. Thus, they are the people whom we wanted to felicitate for nurturing us over the past years.

Payphone is the only means of affordable communication to low income brackets which form a majority of Sri Lankan populace and Tritel has bridged the gap in access to communication, especially in hard-core, rural areas of the country.

Today we are making that bridge stronger by offering a large reduction on out going call charges." Incorporated in 1997, Tritel Services (Pvt) Ltd is the first ever Licensed Public Pay Phone Operator in Sri Lanka, authorised to build and run its own infrastructure.
