Isipatana cleared
SCHOOLS RUGBY: Isipatana College were cleared of all allegations and
were promoted into the 'A' division following an inquiry conducted by
the disciplinary committee of the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football
Association yesterday.
The inquiry was called by the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football
Association after Royal College had lodged a protest alleging that
Isipatana had fielded a player who was not eligible to be in school
during their traditional fixture played on August 26 at the Royal
College Sports Complex, Independence Avenue. But the disciplinary
committee exonerated Isipatana College of all charges while stating that
the alleged player had all the qualifications to remain in school.
Isipatana who emerged runners up in the Singer inter-school 'B'
division league tournament will be a promoted into the 'A' division
along with Trinity College who emerged unbeaten champions. |
