BoI investor forum for participants at Commonwealth Finance

COLOMBO: The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BoI) will
organise an investor forum for all delegations expected to participate
at the Commonwealth Finance Ministers meeting. This event will be held
on September 12 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo.
This is an investor round table forum which will be chaired by
Minister of Investment Promotion and Enterprise Development Rohitha
Bogollagama to show case Sri Lanka as a major investment destination in
the region.
He will also discusses the trade and investment opportunities in the
country despite the current tensions, its Director Media Dillip
Samarasinghe told the Daily News. Apart from the business delegations,
leading government and private sector business personnel are expected to
participate at the forum.
Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal will speak on the Sri
Lankan economy and BoI Chairman Prof Lakshman R. Watawala will speak on
investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.
The British Chief Secretary to Treasury Steven Timans will also
deliver a lecture. |
