Gold Medallist to be felicitated

Felicitation: G. Gama- arachchi, Principal of D.S. Senanayake MMV, Tholangamuwa, Warakapola along with the Schools Sports Foundation, Old Boys Association, Parent Teacher Association and the Staff has organized a felicitation ceremony for Harshana Kingsley Hettiarachchi who won a gold medal competing in the javelin throw at the recently concluded 10th South Asian Games.

He wrote his name in the history books of the school by becoming the first student to bring honour to his motherland by winning a gold medal in a sporting event. He will be brought to the school premises on a motorcade from Warakapola to Tholangamuwa.

Minister of Labour and Foreign Affairs Athauda Seneviratne Deputy Minister for Finance and Planning Ranjith Siyambalapitiya and all Parliamentarians of Kegalle District are expected to participate at this ceremony.
