Kashmiris leave their flooded neighbourhood in Srinagar, India September 04, Flood waters started receding after heavy monsoon rains claimed at least eight lives over the past three days in India’s part of Kashmir and cut off more than 200 villages inhabited by thousands of people, officials said. Two villagers were swept away by strong currents in the flooded Anantnag region north of Srinagar, the summer capital of India’s Jammu and Kashmir state, said Deputy Inspector-General Hemant Lohia.
