Twenty four teams for Singer Rugby Sevens
RUGBY: Twenty four teams will take part in the third leg of
the Singer Professional Rugby Sevens which will be worked off at the
Nuwara Eliya Race Course today and tomorrow.
Kandy Sports Club won the first leg played in Colombo in February
while CR and FC clinched the second leg worked off in Ratgama, Galle
last week.
The teams taking part in the tournament are CR and FC, Peterson SC,
North Central Province, Uva RFC, Air Force 'A' and 'B', Carlton RFC,
Galle RFC, Kandy SC 'A' and 'B', Dimbulla, Police SC, Kuruengala RFC 'A'
and 'B", CH and FC, Ratnapura RFC, Army 'A' and 'B', Old Zahirians 'A'
and 'B, Seethawaka RFC, OPRFU Presidents 7's, Panadura RFC, Havelocks
SC.
The Shield finals will be worked off at 4.00 p.m. and the Bowl finals
at 4.25 p.m. The Plate finals will be played at 4.50 p.m. followed by
the Cup Championship final at 5.20 p.m. |
