Rajans crush Science

RUGBY: Dharmaraja College went on the rampage against a hapless Science College, Mount Lavinia to register a 58 points (4 goals, 6 tries) to nil victory in their Schools Singer Trophy rugby tournament match played at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy yesterday. At half Rajans led 24-0.

Though Science College did not offer much resistance the Rajans played well with most of their player scoring tries.

They completely out played their opponents.Rajans scored their tries through flanker A. J. Wijesinghe (1 try), Winger C. U. B. Wegodapola (1 try) Prop Sameera Bandara (1 try), Scrum half P. D. Silva (1 try), Centre M. D. Godigamuwa (1 try), Winger R. Gunasekera (1 try), Winger H. Withanage (1 try), Centre S. Ratnayake (1 try) Hooker P. Galapitiya (1 try), Centre Asoka Weerasekera (1 try) lock forward L. T. Alahakoon goalled four of the tries.
