Tennis awards ceremony

TENNIS: The awards ceremony of the 91st Sri Lanka National Tennis Championships will be held at the National Tennis Centre, Green Path tomorrow (3).

Harshana Godamanne and Jithmie Jayawickrema emerged men's and women's singles champions respectively at the week-long tournament worked off at the NTC courts.

Top seed Godamanne beat Rajeev Rajapakse 6-2, 6-0, 6-1 in the men's singles final while Jayawickrema outplayed Amritha Muttiah, also in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 in the women's singles final.
