The Frostaire's efforts in making indoor life more comfortable - began in the 80's down Vauxhall Street in a tiny workshop with just two assistants. Young Mukthar Marikkar fresh from his stint at Willesdon College, London famed for AC Technology, joined this budding company and the vibrant world of business with only his tool kit as surety.

Extraordinary perseverance and superlative expertise made Mukthar win the neighbourhood auto giants to his side - before long he had taken United Motors, AMW, Stafford Motor Company to name a few and overtaken others in the trade of Auto Air-conditioning.

A little over 20 years later - Erostaire started manufacturing Air conditioners. The rugged machines were amazingly sophisticated... able to take on the punishment of constant use in virtually any condition on earth and to this day every air conditioner they make features the durability and reliability that are the hallmarks of every Frostaire product.

He plans in opening more showrooms in the coming years in major towns like Kandy, Galle and Gampaha. Frostaire is sole agent and country agent for Thermo King Temperature Control System in Sri Lanka.

He said that he is proud of his business success and thinks high of his expert staff that had teemed up with him to climb to the commanding heights that they are in now.
