ACJU appeals

COLOMBO: The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama appeals to Muslim individuals, institutions and organisations not to sponsor the Ramadhan Iftar programmes this year and channel the money for help people in Muttur and Thoppur to observe Ramadhan fasting in their camps.

Ash-Shaikh H. Abdul Nazar, General Secretary of All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama in a communique said arrangements have to be made for the displaced in Muttur and Thoppur to observe their Ramadhan fasting in camps.

Ash-Shaikh Abdul Nazar said this request is made in a hurry to prevent all sponsors from booking halls ahead of these programmes, and encourage them to help the displaced to observe this year's Ramadhan fasting without any food shortage.
