Sharjah Airport arrival hall opens
SHARJAH, UAE: Sharjah International Airport received the first
flight in the new arrival hall recently. Passengers landed with the Air
Arabia flight ABY G9 122 from Kuwait and were welcomed by the airport's
staff with red roses. A small reception was organised with flowers and
giveaways being distributed to passengers along with refreshments.
The Arrival Hall space is increased from 90 square meters to 500
square meters and is one phase of Sharjah International Airport
Expansion project which once completed will accommodate 8 million
passengers annually.
Mayank Dhingra, Air Arabia's Country Manager Sri Lanka said, "The new
airport will be both modern and convenient and facilitate Air Arabia
passengers greatly. The expansion project is a result of the dramatic
increase in passenger numbers into Sharjah and the growing popularity of
Air Arabia."

for its culture, heritage and numerous tourist attractions, Sharjah
