Lecture

COLOMBO: BBC and CNN broadcaster and British born Thaleban captive Yvonne Ridley will be in Sri Lanka on a lecture tour sponsored by the Centre for Islamic Studies.

The lectures will be held at BMICH on August 28 at 7.00 p.m. and September 3 at 4.00 p.m.

Ridley is well known for her outspoken views and defence of Islam. She endered herself to the Muslim community in Britain when she reverted to Islam 30 months after making international headlines when she was captured by the Taleban on an undercover assignment in Afghanistan.
