OPENING: A gateway to Australian universities has opened up for Sri
Lankan students with the establishment of a new operational centre in
Colombo by Ceylinco Planet in a building dedicated exclusively to
facilitate student migration to Australia.
OPENING: Australian High Commissioner, Dr. Gregory French opens the
new building of Ceylinco Planet at the invitation of Deputy Chairman
of the Ceylinco Education Group Jagath Alwis. On the right is the

The new office, which was inaugurated last week, is located at 315,
R. A. De Mel Mawatha, Colombo 3. The opening was attended by Australian
High Commissioner Dr. Gregory French, senior management, university
representatives, principals of leading high schools and other officials.
The expansion to the new stand alone four storey building will help
Ceylinco Planet to increase its competitiveness in the areas of
providing students with highly professional and reliable educational and
career counselling services.
The new office has dedicated rooms for counselling, processing of
visa applications and university admissions, IELTS classes and an
auditorium for seminars. It also has a resource centre at which students
can browse and research the many universities in Australia free of
charge.
A staff of 12 dedicated employees ensures that students are provided
with in-depth and accurate information about studying abroad.
Ceylinco Education Group Deputy Chairman Mr. Jagath Alwis said:
"There is a big demand among Sri Lankan students to study in Australian
universities. However, we found that the facilities available were not
adequate. We aim to fill this void through Ceylinco Planet."
