Health Ministry directive for internal promotions

COLOMBO: The Healthcare and Nutrition Ministry will fill all future vacancies in the Health Management Service and ward clerk and attendants' grades through internal promotions without making fresh recruitment.

This follows a directive issued by Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, said a Ministry press release. A batch of 20 Health Management assistants appointed through this procedure to hospitals under the Ministry purview received their appointment letters from Minister de Silva at the Ministry premises recently.

Ministry Additional Secretary Dr. Nihal Jayatilleke and other officials were also present on the occasion.
