Inter-school Poster competition

COLOMBO: The National Transport Commission has organised an All Island Inter-school Poster competition on "Transport and child safety" to mark the National Transport Week which falls in October this year. The exhibition organised in association with the Education Ministry will be in three categories viz. (1) Grades 3 to 5 (2) Grades 6 to 8 and (3) Grades 9 and 10.

Director (Planning and Research) National Transport Commission said children in all categories have been given a wide selection of topics. Posters should be drawn on any type of A3 paper 16cm X 11cm in size. Any medium can be used for the drawings. Winners in each category will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5,000 while the second prize will be Rs. 2,000 in addition to certificates.

There will be three cash awards of Rs. 1,000 each for the third prize. There will also be 20 merit certificates for participants in all three categories.
