Lankans for youth camp in Korea
COLOMBO: Ten students representing Sri Lanka from universities
and high schools around the country will participate in the 2006 Youth
Camp together with about 250 youths from 18 Asian countries to be held
in Korea from August 7 to 27.
The youth camp is hosted by the Korean National Council of Youth
Organization under the theme of 'Rediscovering and Loving Asia.'
The Youth Camps' objective is to promote mutual cooperation and
friendship among Asian students for the peace and prosperity of Asia as
well as to enhance understanding on Korea as a partner in creating an
era for Asia.
The event will give participants an opportunity to share their unique
traditions and cultures with the rest of Asia's new generation. Among
the highlights of the event will be Asian Youth Congress, and Asian
Youth Festival which will enable participants to promote understanding
about their nations. |
