Dilantha beaten in home town

Motor Racing: Sri Lanka's international racing star, Dilantha Malagamuwa was beaten by Visal Fernando at the Wayamba Speed 2006 Motor Races held at Kurunegala on Sunday.

Visal won four first places in the Modified 125, Racing 125, Modified Open and Racing Open events at this meet.

Dilantha Malagamuwa also pulled out of the 3500 cc event after his car developed engine trouble.

The home town favourites Udesh Wedisinghe, Nalin Perera and Rehan Buultjens won the first, second and third places in the Super Racing 125 cc event.

The meet was conducted by Motor Racing Association to raise funds for development of St. Anne's College ground and was organized by St. Anne's College, Kurunegala.
