New Catheterisation lab to treat cardiac patients

COLOMBO: Nawaloka Hospital Limited (NHL) can now treat more cardiac
patients after the opening of newly installed, Ultra Modern State of Art
Technology Catheterisation Laboratory, (CATH LAB) at the hospital
complex by NHL Group Chairman, Deshamanya H.K.Darmadasa.
The Lab is occupied with a Holland made, Allura FD10, an expert
system, intelligent enough to work seamlessly with cardiologists and
acting as an extension of one's senses. The machine is valued at Rs. 115
million for the machine system.
The latest introduction will enable the cardiac patients to get more
accurate information in diagnosing cardiovascular diseases rapidly.
Early detection of abnormality of a heart patient will help prevent or
delay the complications, said Cardiologist, Wasantha Hettiarachchi.
