Two claymore mines recovered

COLOMBO: Two claymore mines were recovered by Army in Manippai,
Jaffna yesterday around 4.30 pm, Media Centre for National Security (MCNS)
sources said.
Following an information received from a civilian the army soldiers
have recovered two claymore mines each weighing 5kg which were hidden in
a thicket. The army also recovered one T56, 30 Ammunition and T56
Magazine on the same spot,the MCNS source added.
In another incident the suspected LTTE terrorist threw a hand grenade
to the Guard Point 'A' at the Urani, Batticaloa police post yesterday
around 4 pm, the MCNS source said. There are no injured or casualties
reported. The Batticaloa police is investigating the incident, the
source added.
