New Country Manager for DHL Express

APPOINTMENT: DHL, the world's leading express and Logistics Company announced the appointment of Martin Dudek as Country Manager, DHL Express Sri Lanka with effect from June 1.

Dudek has been an MNC Industry Group Manager Asia Pacific, based in Singapore Regional Office since March 2004 and has managed five Multinational Customer Group Industries within the region.

In 2005 he increased revenue in the Group by 21% to Euro 54million and was instrumental in launching the textile and apparel initiative/strategy along in developing business in the garment, textile and apparel industries.

This expertise and his network contacts in the USA and Europe will prove invaluable in driving the business forward in Sri Lanka.

Prior to this, he worked for Robert Bosch GmbH for nine years, holding various sales and managerial positions in India, Malaysia and Germany.

In his new role as Country Manager, DHL Express Sri Lanka, Dudek will be responsible for managing the development and growth of the express business with DHL's numerous partners in Sri Lanka.

A widely travelled person, Dudek received his education in Germany, Iran, Hong Kong, Mexico and Australia.
