President congratulates

President Mahinda Rajapaksa congratulated the Sri Lanka cricket team and Man of the Match Sanath Jayasuriya on their 46-run win over England in their second ODI at the Brit Oval in London yesterday.

President Rajapaksa has commended the recent performances of the Sri Lanka team, which has made it four in-a-row with wins in the final Test, Twenty20 game and the first two ODIs against England.

The President also paid a special tribute to veteran opener Sanath Jayasuriya, who led the Lankan run feast with a blistering century.

The President also wished greater success to the Sri Lanka team in the three remaining ODI matches.
