Six claymore bombs recovered

Trincomalee: Six claymore bombs have been recovered at places along the roads used by Navy vehicles in the vicinity of the naval yard and how these bombs were brought to Trincomalee town area despite many check points, has set a poser.

Reliable sources disclosed that the bombs brought to town area by the LTTE were being planted at said places by people with mercenary motives on behalf of the LTTE.

The killing of a security guard at the Kantale Base Hospital in broad day light and the discovery of two T 56 guns, three magazines, 3 haversack type bags and several cards of Panadol tablets have scared people in the Kantale area.
