Serendib 2006 opens in London today
EXHIBITION: The Srendib 2006 Trade Exhibition will be opened
today by Chief Secretary Treasury Stephen Timms UK at the New Connaught
Rooms Covent Gardens UK.
The Minister of Enterprise Dvelopment and Investment Promotion
Rohitha Bogollagama and over 100 invitees will be present on the
occasion.
The first of its kind to be held in the United Kingdom Serendib 2006
will showcase Sri Lanka's highly competitive reserve of talent and
innovation.
Products and services on show will be apparel and textiles, food and
beverage, gems and jewellery, giftware and lifestyle products, rubber
based products and software and solutions.
Around 1000 British buyers are expected to visit the exhibition.
Among other events organised for visitors are one to one meetings
with exporters, free seminar programme, tea tasting programmes' Sri
Lanka food courts and cultual dances by the Channa Dance troupe. The
event is organised by the Sri Lanka Export Delopment Board, Ministry of
Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion and the Sri Lanka High
Commission in UK. |
