Thomian Fun Motor Rally on July 1

The Parent Teacher Association of S. Thomas College, Mount Lavinia in collaboration with Villa Ocean View Hotel, Wadduwa is organising a Fun Motor Rally to be held on July 1.

This year's rally which is organised for the second time is expected to be worked off on a much larger scale when compared to the event held in 2003.

The start would be from the College premises in Mount Lavinia and the finish would be at the Villa Ocean View Hotel in Wadduwa. The distance is approximately 100 kilometers within an anticipated driving time of 3-4 hours.

It will be a time and distance rally with all road rules applying to all the participants. All safety requirements will be looked into by the organizers. Obstacles too will be thrown in to make it even more fun for the participants. The organizers have on board a team of experienced rally drivers who have all the necessary expertise to run a rally of this nature and magnitude.

The gala closing ceremony is planned at the Villa Ocean View Hotel, Wadduwa. The entire proceeds of the fun rally would be towards the infrastructure development of the College campus.

The event will be opened to all old boys or parents of students and entries close on June 25.
