Water interruption

COLOMBO:The water supply to Borella, Maradana, Cinnamon Gardens, Town Hall, Union Place, Hunupitiya, Kollupitiya, Wanathamulla, Baseline Road from Dematagoda to Borella junction and all connected by-roads will be interrupted tomorrow from 9 a.m. to Sunday 3 a.m.. The National Water Supply and Drainage Board said yesterday.

Lake House marketing agent dies

Lake House Marketing Agent of Kuliyapitiya, Mrs. R.N.B. Wijeratne has passed away. She was the widow of W.A. George Perera Wanniarachchi, the founder of Sasthrodaya Press, Kuliyapitiya and mother of former Assistant Commissioner of Labour Susirinatha Wanniarachchi, Former Kuliyapitiya U.C.Chairman Dayananda Wanniarachchi, Sumithra Wijesundera, and Padma Senanayake of St. Anthony's Girls' School, Kollupitiya.

Last Rites will take place at the Kuliyapitiya U.C. cemetery on Saturday, June 17 at 05.00 p.m. Her remains are now lying at No.11, Mihindu Mawatha, Kuliyapitiya.
