Appointments at Pricewaterhouse Coopers
CHANGES: PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) Sri Lanka announces the new
leadership team that will take over the management of the firm from June
30, 2006 on the retirement of its Territory Senior Partner, Deva
Rodrigo. The leadership team will comprise Yudy Kanagasabai as Chief
Executive Officer (CEO), Sujeewa Mudalige as Markets Leader and Channa
Manoharan as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Kanagasabai, who has been
with the firm since its inception in 1981, is presently the leader of
the Advisory Practice of PWC.
He was till recently, the head of the Assurance (Audit) Practice and
the Partner-in-Charge of Financial Services and Telecom Industries.
Under the global deployment arrangements of the firm, he worked with the
Computer Assurance Services unit of Singapore from 1988 to 1990. He is
an alumnus of S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia. Mudalige will also act
as the Deputy Leader of the firm. He is presently the head of the
Assurance Practice and the Partner-in-Charge of Human Capital.
Manoharan, who will take over as the COO is a partner in the Advisory
practice of the firm. [(He overlooks the Mergers and Acquisitions
businesses until and client work of International Finance Institutions (IFIs)].
He is responsible for the business unit focusing on International
development assistance in Sri Lanka. Rodrigo will continue to be
associated with the firm, in a non-executive capacity, after his
retirement from the partnership. |
