Neluwa to be developed

Neluwa: The Government has formulated plans to develop Neluwa as a modern township, said Vocational and Technical Training Minister Piyasena Gamage at the opening of a new post office building costing Rs. 4.5 million at Neluwa on Saturday.

Gamage said under this plan the 'Sathi Pola' at Neluwa will be developed and modernised at a cost of Rs. 10 million.

A five acre plot of land has been earmarked to set up a fully equipped hospital at Neluwa at a cost of Rs. 1,000 million. Gamage said Posts, Telecommunications and Rural Economic Promotion Minister has also agreed to provide Hiniduma too with a modern Post Office building in response to a request made by him.

Southern Provincial Council Chairman I. Wijewantha, Neluwa Pradeshiya Sabha chairman P.G. Sunil and Post Master General Sherwin Senadheera were also present.
