Ecotourism to play vital role in travel mart

EXHIBITION: "Sri Lanka Gateway to South Asia" Travel exhibition will be held from 16 to 18 June, at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike International Exhibition Centre.

It is expected to attract well over 200 buyers and 150 international and local exhibitors.

Sri Lanka Ecotourism Foundation (SLEF), for the first time in Sri Lanka travel history, will bring all the Community Based Ecotourism Enterprises (CBEs) initiated by our organisation and other like-minded organisations under one national network at the travel mart.

This will be a unique model for all those who are working towards sustainable, Econtourism and people-friendly tourism fabric in Sri Lanka. These CBEs are mainly concentrating on agro, wellness, irrigation, culture, spiritual and heritage based tourism.

The Sri Lanka Tourist Board, the organiser of this Travel Market has allocated a special area in the exhibition grounds to Sri Lanka Ecotourism Foundation to organize exclusive stalls for Ecotourism.
