Terrorism not a means of solving problems -Thera

KANDY: The LTTE must realise the international community will not bow down to terrorism as a means of solving problems when the path is open for negotiation, states Ven. Niyangoda Vijithasiri Thera, the Anunayaka of the Malwatta Chapter.

The Thera, commenting on the ban imposed by the European Union said the EU decision though belated, has to be appreciated. The LTTE must now take interest to enter the negotiating table to evolve a solution to the North East problem the Thera said.

Solution of a problem demands a certain degree of sacrifice on the part of parties concerned.

No organisation can survive, if isolated by the rest of the world. LTTE should bear this fact in mind, added the venerable Anunayaka Thera.
