Adidas unveils FIFA World Cup range

LAUNCH: the range of licensed products for FIFA World Cup 2006 by the world's leading sports brand 'Adidas' was recently launched in Sri Lanka.

This special range of FIFA Football World Cup 2006 products by Adidas brings in the spirit and excitement of the FIFA World Cup less than a month ahead of the much-awaited event which kicks off in Germany on June 09, 2006.

Adidas Sri Lanka joins several other countries around the world in unveiling the 2006 range of footwear, apparel and accessories comprising boots, balls, sleeveless singlets, crop tops, polos, T-shirts and bottoms, caps, bags, replicas and souvenirs.

Among this range is the same model of boot that will be worn by famous players like David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane at the World Cup. The ball specially produced by Adidas for the event is a new innovation using thermal bonding technology for the first time in history. The sole distributors for Adidas in Sri Lanka, Hameedia will also carry part of the range in some of their selected showrooms.

Hameedia's Deputy Managing Director Hussain Sadique said that the range in Sri Lanka will be that of the participating English, German, Argentinean, Italian and French teams, and will be available at Adidas outlet at Havelock Town, and the Hameedia showrooms at Crescat Boulevard, Kandy and Negombo.
