DVD: Boo Dee Keerthisena’s Sinhala film Mille Soya (In search of wealth) is now available in DVD format. It is produced and distributed by Torana Music Box, Majestic City, Colombo 4.

In this real life adventure story Mahendra Perera, Sangeetha Weeraratne, Jackson Anthony, Kamal Addaraarachchi, Linton Semage, Ravindra Randeniya, Sanath Gunatilleke and Veena Jayakody bring to life the thrills, travails and excitement of a group of illicit immigrants who try to reach Italy. The director has succeeded in portraying the depths of this social phenomenon in a novel format.

In this realistic film Boo Dee depicts the frustration of village youth. Some of them mortgage their property and undergo innumerable difficulties to seek greener pastures in order to lend a happy and decent life.

However they soon become fawns of powerful and cunning operators of human smuggling. In the end they become more and more frustrated. Having lost their property and not getting lucrative employment abroad they see their dream world shattering infront of their own eyes.
