New minor savings account from Union Bank

NEW SCHEME: Union Bank of Colombo Ltd has introduced a new minor savings account named Piyawara. the inaugural launch of the account was recently held at their Negombo branch.

Piyawara savings accounts could be opened for children from their day of birth to age 15 with a minimum initial deposit of Rs. 100.

The account is designed and linked to a gift scheme according to the balances lying in the account. Piyawara account could be transferred to a normal savings account and could be operated by the account holder when the minor reaches 18.

This account could be opened from any branch of Union Bank and could be operated from any branch of their network irrespective of the branch where the account is opened.

The main focus of the bank is to offer a complete range of products and services of value in a highly professional and efficient manner. Exceptional personal service and relationship banking would be the cornerstone of our efforts, in providing these services to our clients.
