COLOMBO: GCE O/L 2005 results will be released early next
week, Examination Department sources said.
The department will mark O/L scripts manually this year as there was
a serious error during the marking of the last A/L answer scripts, the
sources said.
The delay of releasing the results was due to the answer scripts
assessment having to be completed manually.
Examiners are unable to use the scanner to mark the papers till they
receive the Presidential Committee report appointed to probe the last
GCE A/L scandal, sources said.
The last examination was held from December 12 to 23, 2005.
Around 378,702 school candidates and 147,927 private candidates sat
the examination. |
