Chairman National Police Commission

COLOMBO: Neville Piyadigama assumed duties as the new Chairman of the National Police Commission on April 17 at the National Police Commission office at Rotunda Tower, Colombo 3.

He was one of the most senior officers of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service and has held many posts in the public service for over 35 years. He served as an Additional Secretary to the President and Secretary Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and Ministry of Fisheries and ARD.

After his retirement from public service, he represented Sri Lanka as Ambassador to Japan and High Commissioner to Bangladesh.

The new Commission will meet under his Chairmanship.
