Sri Lanka 'A' clinch one-day series in Bangladesh

CRICKET: Sri Lanka 'A' led by Jehan Mubarak clinched the three-match one-day limited overs series against Bangladesh 'A' 2-1 when they won the third and final match by a comprehensive margin of 134 runs at Khula.

A sound knock of 83 not out off 99 balls (6 fours) from wicket-keeper/batman Kaushal Silva enabled Sri Lanka to run up a total of 245-8. Bangladesh in reply were shot out for 111 in the 36th over with Ganegama, Chandana and Suraj Mohammed taking two wickets apiece.

Bangladesh 'A' won the opening match of the series at Bogra by 30 runs but Sri Lanka 'A' squared the series in the second game played at Khulna two days later with a five wickets win where Malintha Gajanayake played the match winning role scoring an undefeated 59.
