Call for research papers

COLOMBO: The Sri Lanka Economic Association (SLEA) plans to recognise research/ publications of exceptional merit, which also conform to SLEA objectives.

The latter include fostering an awareness of the strategies and policies, which should be adopted to accelerate economic growth, while improving the distribution of incomes of the people, an awareness of those that would improve the competitiveness of the corporate and business organizations including the SMEs and the advancement of the study of economics, while improving the professional standards of economists.

Research work, publications and papers conforming to these objectives carried out during 2003-2005 will qualify to be submitted.

Two awards consisting of scrolls and cash payments of Rs. 35,000 (for the best) and Rs. 15,000 (runner- up) will be made. The closing date is April 30.
