Is CBK still President for CGR?

COLOMBO: For the surprise and amusement of not only Sri Lankans but foreign tourists at the Railways Department Reservation Office at Colombo Fort, it is apparent that officers of this centre still seem to be unaware who is the present President of Sri Lanka.

A picture of former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga is displayed as the current President of Sri Lanka very prominently over counters 1, 2 and 3 instead of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

A German tourist waiting to book a First Class ticket to Badulla, who was next to me in the queue, was rather amused and inquired whether former President Kumaratunga was the Minister of Railways.

He said the Railways Department was still treating former President as the current President.
