Lanka Cavaliers to tour Bangalore
CRICKET: The Lanka Cavaliers led by the first 'Test' Captain of Sri
Lanka, Bandula Warnapura will be taking wing to Bangalore, India, on a
seven day tour, on an invitation extended by the Karnataka State Cricket
Association which materialised through an effort by the International
Fellowship of Cricket Loving Rotarians of West Bangalore.
On tour, from 7th-14th April, the Cavaliers will take on the Veterans
of Karnataka in two games to be played on the 8th and 11th April at the
Bangalore Stadium and the third game against a Bangalore Rotarians XI on
the 13th April. Former Indian Test player Brijesh Patel, President of
KSCA is the key organiser of the tour matches.
A program of 'Coaching' is also scheduled for some of the young
cricketers at the KSCA Academy by the qualified coaches of Cavaliers on
tour.

Player), Bandula De Silva, S. Illangaratnam, Kirthi Gunaratne (Former
National Players) Daya Sirisena, Wasanthalal Fernando, Nevin Noyaln, C.
P. P. Raj, Mahinda Pethiyagoda, Nalin De Alwis, Sudharashan Guruge, Dr.
Ananda Gunasekera, Jayalath Aponso, Tony Gunawardena, Basil Perera,
Senaka Angulugaha, (All former first class players) with Srinath
Wijeyeratne, the secretary cum player joining the tour.
