Nuzry Khalid appointed senior martial arts instructor

Martial Arts: It was joy, happiness and thrills in galore at the Fei Quan Do Martial Arts awards ceremony held at their training centre at the Theosophical Society Hall, Wellawatte, under the stewardship of well-known martial arts grandmaster M. Hassen Khalid founder of Sri Lanka's own martial art Fei Quan Do.

The chief guests were SSP Sunil Kandamby, SSP D. Upali Kumarasiri and M. C. M. Zarook (Attorney-at-Law). The guests of honour were Ananda Ranasinghe (Attorney-at-Law), Mrs. Sudarshani Gunarathne (Attorney-at-Law), R. Suntheranathan (Ceylinco), Ifthizam Fakhir, Anas Mohideen, two pioneer students of grandmaster M. Hassen Khalid.

The recipients of black belts are as follows: M. Nuzky Khalid (2nd Dai Black Belt confirmed), A. Usaama Naufel (1st Dai Black Belt confirmed), Sithmi Imalka Gunaratne (1st Dai Black Belt confirmed), M. Sudarshanie Gunarathne (1st Dai Black Belt confirmed), S. Bavithran (1st Dai Black Belt confirmed).

Appointed Instructors: Senior Instructor Fei Quan Do - M. Nuzry Khalid, Instructor - A. Usaama Naufel, Instructress - Sithmi Imalka Gunarathne, Junior Instructor - M. Jennites Perera, Junior Instructor - S. Bavithran. A large number of members including their parents were present from all parts of the island.
