Contempt of court on SLC interim committee

COURT ORDER: The interim committee of Sri Lanka Cricket was issued summons by the Colombo District Court for contempt of court following an application made by Kalutara Physical and Cultural Club (KPCC).

The court made this order following a complaint made by KPCC that SLC had failed to comply with an earlier enjoining order issued on November 14 and thereby had committed contempt of court.

The court also issued an enjoining order on Thursday preventing the interim committee of SLC from recognising anyone else other than a member appointed by the president of the KPCC as a representative of the club.
