Korean investor changes mind after President's intervention

COLOMBO: The Presidential Secretariat has directed both the Board of Investment Chairman and top officials of the Urban Development Authority (UDA) to intervene once again to settle a land dispute with regard to a proposed Korean Investment.

Subsequent to a report in this regard in the Daily News on Wednesday, BoI Chairman Lakshman Watawela and top officials of the UDA contacted the local partner of the project Chrishantha Mendis yesterday.

They have also taken him to a land at Nawala after the Presidential intervention.
