Boy escapes from LTTE camp

SERUNUWARA: A 16-year-old school boy abducted and conscripted to the LTTE escaped from the LTTE camp and sought protection at an army camp.

The boy was returning home when he was abducted at Mallikaitivu and taken to the LTTE camp.

The boy escaped and surrendered to the troops yesterday at 12.30 p.m. Serunuwara police handed over the boy to his parents. The Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission has been informed. Serunuwara Police are investigating.
