Seminar on tea export trade

WORKSHOP: The Association of Small and Medium Exporters of Tea which was incorporated with the objective of supporting small and medium entrepreneurs in the tea trade will conduct a seminar/workshop titled "A to Z of Tea Export Trade" on March 23, 2006 at Hotel Taj Samudra - Upper Crystal Ballroom from 8.30 a.m.-1.30 p.m.

The main objective of the seminar is to educate, existing and potential exporters of all aspects that need to be known in the Tea Export Trade.

Bearing in mind the Governments endeavour to support small and medium enterprises throughout the island, the organisers feel that they are duty bound not only to support the Governments endeavour but also to educate existing and would be small and medium exporters in the tea trade to obtain first hand knowledge in matters connected with the trade.

The subjects covered would include "All aspect of Tea exports", "the requirements of obtaining Phytosanitary and Certificates of Origin", "Matters relating to the latest Food Safety Registrations in the EU, USA and Japan", the "HACCAP Standards", "Customs Regulations on the import of other origin teas under the TIEP Scheme" and "How to select your Teas." Participation will be limited to 100 on a first come first served basis.
