2048 graduates from University of Colombo

A total of two thousand and forty eight (2048) graduands will be conferred their Bachelor's Degree at the General Convocation of the University of Colombo, which will be held in four sessions, on March 6 and 7 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

Most Rev. Dr. Oswald Gomis, the Chancellor of the University of Colombo will confer the degrees.

6th Morning Bachelor of Arts (General Degree): 459, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery: 63, Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery: 15.

6th Afternoon: Bachelor of Laws: 369, Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media: 20, Bachelor of Arts in Performing Arts: 16, Bachelor of Labour Education: 103.

7th Morning: Bachelor of Arts (Special Degree): 193, Bachelor of Business Administration: 113, Bachelor of Commerce: 138, Bachelor of Education: 71.

7th Afternoon: Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery: 201, Bachelor of Science: 287.

Dr. L. S. Perera former Dean of the Faculty of Education, University of Colombo and M. D. D. Pieris, a former Member of the Council of the University of Colombo will be honoured by conferring the Degree of Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa).

Mr. M. D. D. Pieris will deliver the Convocation on March 07 in the afternoon session of the Convocation.
