Port handles biggest ship
SHIP HANDLING: Colombo port successfully handled its biggest
ever and brand new vessel Mv. Ever Chivalry owned by global giant
Evergreen Lines of Taiwan recently. Built by Samsung Heavy Industries of
South Korea, the ship has a capacity of 8,073 TEUs.
She was built in January 2006 and has a length of 333,993 metres and
sails under the flag of Marshell Islands. Part of the China Far East
Europe service, Mv. Ever Chivalry sailed to Colombo port Jaya Container
Terminal from port Tanjun Pelpas, Malaysia on her way to Taranta Italy. |
