BA launches ‘double dailies’ from Delhi
DOUBLE DAILIES: The second daily flight connecting Delhi to
London Heathrow will commence operating on 8th April 2006. This new
flight is in addition to the existing daily.
This increase in operations comes soon after the launch of the new 5
times a week Bangalore - London Heathrow direct service that has made
British Airways the first international airline to offer direct flights
to London Heathrow from five cities in India - Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai,
Bangalore and Kolkata.
The airline has already launched double dailies from Mumbai and
additional flights from Chennai that takes the number of direct flights
from various cities in India to London to 35 per week. With the double
dailies from Delhi, British Airways will be operating 42 non-stop
flights per week to London Heathrow.
The increase in flight services comes after the successful outcome of
bilateral talks between UK and India, which allows more flights to
operate between the two countries. |
