company StarTrans International, Hong Kong. StarTrans is a specialist
for airfreight in Asia-Pacific, on the Asia-USA route. It is planned
that Schenker will take over the majority in the joint venture.

million USD. Customers come from industries like apparel and toys and
from sectors like automotive and high-tech.
With the joint venture, Schenker will continue to expand its presence
in the growth markets. At the same time, the scope of logistics service
for special industry segments will be increased.
Furthermore, together with BAX we will become a leading player on
that lane”, said Dr. Thomas C. Lieb, as member of the Board of
Management of Schenker AG responsible for the Air and Seafreight
Operations.

forwarding globally and will bring Schenker and StarTrans to new heights
of success.

customers in the areas of enhanced facilities, efficiency and expansion
of routes as the new venture is a total solutions provider in freight
forwarding”, said Eddie Yau, Chairman of StarTrans. |
