Insurance scheme for estate children

MASKELIYA: Norwood World Vision Sri Lanka, in the Ambegamuwa Region in Nuwara-eliya District recently selected 3000 estate and village children from Tamil and Sinhala Schools between 1 to 16 and insured them, Rs. 300 each for Medical Insurance by the Ceylinco Insurance Corporation.

The Norwood World Vision had identified children who were totally handicapped and under developed in estates and villages who were with Malnutrition, Heart Disease & Kidney Trouble.

A ceremony to hand over Medical Insurance Certificates and gifts of 20 wristwatches to 20 selected children was held at Community Center Pre-School Building at Mousakelle Estate, Maskeliya.

The Norwood World Vision has taken measures to promote the Cultural Activities and sports among children through the sponsorship of the Ceylinco Insurance Corporation.
